Great place for long stays and extremely flexible and accommodating, even allowing guests to have visitors for two or three days. The food is wonderful, servers are kind, the rooms are big and clean, and the location is perfect!

Have alot of rules such as signing friends in, quiet hours, leaving your key at the front desk, and a few others. It was a nice quiet place. Don't recommend if you are looking to be social.
Great long term stay hotel! I stayed here for 6 weeks and I loved it. The staff made me feel at home, they provide free breakfast and dinner and the food was always great, better than most restaurants. I had a doble room with private bathroom, and it was very bright, big and clean. The changed my towels and sheets twice a week. It is very well located close to city center and nice neighbourhood. I totally recommended. Great for solo travellers. Y hablan español!

Excellent old victorian city charm--not for the big-chain hotel users. Many international students stay here. I don't take advantage of the food offerings, so I cannot offer any evaluation on that. The staff are very friendly and have been very accomodating. The assistant manager, Cory is a wealth of information about local businesses and shops. If you need to stay in the city for a week or two and enjoy the old victorian charm, then you will like this place. If you are fussy and don't like people, then look at Holiday Inn or Marriot. For local charm, this is the best neighborhood I have ever encountered in the Bay Area. Short walk to Japantown and the Fillmore on one side of the hill, Van Ness on the other, and the best views in the city from the top of the hill by walking up Octavia.
Small but nice hotel, very friendly staff that's gonna make you feel as at home , you can rent from a week and above if I'm not wrong, and if you pay a little more the breakfast and dinner are included on every single day ( by the way they have a Peruvian chef, who gonna make you fly every time you taste the food )
For the price this place is great. I sprung for my own room and bathroom which came to 75 per night. Already it's better than what was comparable in the price range which was someone's couch on air b&b. It includes meals that are actually pretty good. At least diner quality food with vegetarian options and healthy salads. My room is super clean and the hotel has a quiet environment.
